How Your Heart Works
Recommended for grades 1 – 3.
This program teaches the students to understand that the heart is a muscle. The students will also recognize that each beat of the heart is a pumping action. Students will understand how exercise and healthy eating keep the heart strong and healthy.

Materials needed for program:
- Trace the blood flow worksheet/overhead
- Stethoscopes**
- Coloring books*
- Air Pump**
- Paper heart cut-out – you will need to create this
