FHN Announces New Hospital Visitor Restrictions

December 3, 2021 – In light of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the area, FHN has announced additional visitor restrictions for FHN Memorial Hospital. The changes go into effect Monday, Dec. 6.

• COVID-19-positive patients may have one designated visitor for the entire length of their stay.
• Non COVID-19-positive patients may have one visitor per day (a different person can visit each day).
• No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed in any area of the hospital.
• Emergency Department patients may have one visitor per day.
• Pediatric patients anywhere in the hospital are allowed 2 visitors; one should be a parent or guardian.
• Visiting hours for all departments except the Emergency Department and the Family Birthing Center are from 1 – 6:30 p.m.
• Per Illinois Department of Public Health rules, face coverings must be worn while in any FHN facility, including during patient visits.
• Visitors must check in each day with admitting to receive a screening, including a temperature check, and receive a dated visitor's badge.

Exceptions in end-of-life situations may be coordinated with FHN nursing staff. Visit www.fhn.org/coronavirus for the latest visitor restrictions for each hospital department and the FHN Family Healthcare Centers and Specialty Care Centers.
