H1N1 Virus ("swine flu") Basics
Though it's out of the headlines, the spread of the H1N1 virus is still closely monitored by the Centers for Disease Control. FHN and the Stephenson County Health department continue to monitor the situation, as well. The H1N1 virus is a respiratory disease that resembles a "normal" flu – its symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, lethargy and lack of appetite. Some people with the virus also have reported nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Learn more here.
