Tom Zuba: Living Through the Holidays

11/19/2016, 9:30 – 11 a.m.

Best-selling author Tom Zuba will present Living With the Holidays at a special free event presented by FHN Hospice Nov. 19.

The program, focusing on coping with the holidays after someone you love has died, will be from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 in rooms 201A and B of the Highland Community College Student Conference Center, 2998 W. Pearl City Road in Freeport. Registration is requested; register to attend www.fhn.org/Zuba.

Zuba, who has appeared on Oprah, has had to learn how to handle grief and create a full, joy-filled life himself, following the death of his 18-month-old daughter in 1990, his wife in 1999, and his 13-year-old son in 2005. He and his son Sean live in Rockford.

"I believe you can actually learn to live WITH the holidays this year," Zuba said. "I believe you can find meaning, and connection, and healing, and even moments of peace this holiday season. I can show you how."

A number of area churches, funeral homes, nursing homes and hospice organizations are co-sponsoring this presentation. For more information on Tom Zuba, please visit www.tomzuba.com.
